This statement covers kichwaconnect.co.ke, the website of Kichwa Connect Limited. We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. We have not yet had the site audited by an independent specialist, so we can't say it fully meets that standard.
What we have done
- Keyboard. Every link, button and form field can be used from the keyboard, and whichever one you are on is outlined. A "Skip to main content" link is the first thing you reach on every page. The tables on the Cookie Policy page scroll sideways on narrow screens, and you can scroll them from the keyboard too.
- Structure. Each page has one main heading, headings in order, and labelled page areas (header, navigation, main content, footer), which helps screen readers and other tools move around.
- Text you can read. We chose text and background colours to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio for normal text (4.5 to 1). Our checks of the main pages found no text below it. Text sizes scale with your browser's text size, and the site does not stop you zooming in.
- Pictures. Every image has a text description, or is marked as decoration when it adds nothing.
- Small screens. The layout changes to fit phones and tablets.
- Forms. Every form field has a label that screen readers announce. On the Careers application form and the five request forms (WiFi survey, business quote, repair booking, Kichwa Care and support), the labels are also shown above the fields, and messages such as "sent" or "please check this field" are written out in words and announced to screen readers, not shown by colour alone. Those forms also work if JavaScript is off. The repair number box on the home and Repairs pages has a label for screen readers only, with an example number shown in the box.
- Motion and media. The site has no video, no audio and nothing that plays by itself. If your device is set to reduce motion, the small entrance animations on the home page are switched off.
- Reading without scripts. The text on every page and the answers in the Careers questions show up without JavaScript.
- Cookie choice. The analytics banner does not block the page, and its "Yes, allow" and "No thanks" buttons look the same. You can change your choice at any time from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. See our Cookie Policy.
What we haven't checked
- An independent accessibility audit has not been done, and we have not tested the site with every screen reader, browser and device. Our own checks use automated tools and manual review, and they can miss things.
- The repair tracker is a separate system at erp.kichwaconnect.co.ke, and this statement does not cover it. We have not assessed how accessible it is. If you can't use it, call or WhatsApp us with your ticket number and we will give you the status another way.
- Websites we link to, such as our social media pages, are run by other people, and we can't control how accessible they are.

You never need the website to deal with us. We prepared this statement on 20 September 2026 and will update it when we change the site or learn something new about how well it works. Nothing in it takes away any right you have under Kenyan law.
